Founded Lungs Online in 2024 to provide a patient-centred service offering home-based and online physiotherapy for people with chronic respiratory conditions.Annemarie has over 25 years of experience in cardiorespiratory physiotherapy in various settings, including hospitals, Universities and the community. She has a special interest in adults with Bronchiectasis and COPD, offering airway clearance therapy to assist in sputum clearance, exercise programs and education to support self-management.Annemarie has completed a Masters in Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy, a PhD in Bronchiectasis and COPD and has undertaken or provided multiple courses in airway clearance techniques. She is a titled Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapist with the Australian Physiotherapy Association.In addition to her clinical work, Annemarie is an Associate Professor at Monash University and has developed the curriculum for the cardiorespiratory physiotherapy programs.

Services I offer

I provide assessment, instruction and guidance in a range of physiotherapy techniques to treat people with chronic respiratory conditions. This includes airway clearance therapy, exercise and education.

Airway clearance techniques
• Teaching techniques to enable clearance of mucus
• Guidance and education on the use of inhaled therapy

Exercise
• Prescribe and advise on exercise options for improving fitness and strength
• Referral to Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs

Education
• Provide guidance in self-management with action plans
• Education for use of inhaled medications
• Knowledge and support for implementing a treatment program

Physiotherapy Appointments
I offer online and/or at home consultations across Melbourne.Medicare rebate
You may be eligible for a medicare rebate of up to 5 sessions per calendar year if you have a chronic condition (> 6 months). Your GP is able to refer you to this under their Chronic Disease Management plan. This reduces the out-of-pocket costs per session.Private Health Insurance
If you have physiotherapy extras in your private health insurance policy, this could be used to help with your funding.Fees
-Rate of initial consultation: $150/hour
-Follow-up consultation: $90/hour
-For home visits, fees for travel are 0.88 cents per kilometre
